Hosted by Jak Camoletto, Artisan Roast Bruntsfield shop manager, our Espresso Essentials Masterclass is a 2 hour course designed to teach you how to make the perfect shot of espresso – either at home or in a work environment.
A balanced approach between theory and practice within a small group of not more than 3 people per session to ensure maximum practical time for you, you will learn:
-How to set up the espresso machine and grinder to obtain optimal results
-The art of distribution and tamping
-Extraction techniques and the impact on flavour
-Choosing the correct beans for your desired taste
-How to steam milk and be able to combine it with espresso
-Essential maintenance and cleaning of equipment
-A basic introduction to Latte Art
What you take home:
-Our Artisan Roast booklet with a summary of the key points learned during the session
-250 gram bag of our Cobblestone Espresso blend for you to practice at with.
Date: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 19:00-21:00
Each Espresso Masterclass will take place at the Artisan Roast Bruntsfield Cafe (138 Bruntsfield Place, EH10 4ER - Edinburgh), in professional coffee shop set up.
